Joy Weiss

President and CEO

Joy Weiss is President and Chief Executive Officer of Tempo Automation and also a member of its board of directors. She has many years of experience leading electronics and technology businesses, including CEO roles at multiple semiconductor companies. Joy was one of Tempo’s earliest investors and first outside advisor. In her current position, she has led Tempo through significant growth and innovation, including a business combination that created a publicly-traded company with a rich set of services across a global network of smart factories. Prior to joining Tempo, she led Dust Networks through its acquisitions by Linear Technology, which was subsequently acquired by Analog Devices, a leading global semiconductor manufacturer, where she became VP, Data Center.

Joy currently serves on the board of Playworks, a national non-profit organization, and has also previously served on the boards of several other private companies. Joy holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and she has been named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.

Ryan Benton

Chief Financial Officer

Ryan Benton is Chief Financial Officer at Tempo Automation and serves as a member of the company’s board of directors. Ryan has more than 30 years of experience in finance and managerial roles. He has held CEO and CFO, and Corporate Controller positions for a number of technology companies.

Ryan is also an independent board member for Revasum, Inc. and Pivotal Systems, both publicly listed semiconductor capital equipment companies. As an independent board member, he serves on various committees, including his role as chair of Pivotal Systems’ Audit & Risk Management Committee. He previously served as CFO for several public companies including Exar Corporation, Brainchip Holdings, and Revasum Inc. As CEO at Exar Corporation, a fabless semiconductor manufacturer, he led the successful trade sale to Maxlinear Corporation.

Ryan holds a B.A. in Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin and he passed the State of Texas Certified Public Accountancy exam.

Ralph Richart

Chief Technology and Manufacturing Officer

Ralph Richart is Tempo Automation’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Ralph has a wealth of experience in the quick-turn PCB and electronics manufacturing space, having served in the industry for nearly three decades.

Prior to joining Tempo, Ralph was Director of Manufacturing at Advanced Circuits, a printed circuit board manufacturer. While there, he oversaw the company’s largest manufacturing operation, including the development of new processes and products in collaboration with management, sales, production and engineering teams.

Before Advanced Circuits, Ralph was President at Coastal Circuits, a manufacturer of high-technology quick-turn printed circuit boards. He spent more than 23 years at the company, which was acquired by Advanced Circuits in 2015. Ralph holds a B.A. in economics from Skidmore College and has served as Club President for FORCE North, a competitive youth soccer program that serves children from 4 to 18 years old throughout the San Francisco Peninsula.
